CUSHING MAN ARRESTED AFTER
ATTACKING BEASLEY’S EMPLOYEES
Cushing man Joel Otto Walker, 52, attacked
several people on October 3 because he thought
they were slandering him.
According to Walker, he could kill anyone who
slandered him, because it was an Oklahoma law --
it’s not.
A Cushing officer was dispatched to a business in
the 100 block of N. Harrison shortly after 3 p.m. to
investigate a man causing issues.
When he arrived, a man told him that the suspect,
later identified as Walker, had left and gone into a
nearby store. The man said Walker was threatening
toward his employees.
The officer located Walker, who immediately
became hostile. He asked the officer if he had
probable cause to be speaking to him.
According to the affidavit, Walker said the people
at the previous business were part of a “slander conspiracy” against him, and he
wanted them to stop.
The officer told him not to return to the business.
At approximately 4:35 p.m., the officer was dispatched back to the business
where a physical altercation was in progress. He found Walker walking away from
the location and ordered the man to stop.
While the officer was placing Walker in handcuffs, Walker told him that the
employees at the business weren’t going to stop slandering him. He threatened to
kill and skin them. He said that according to Oklahoma law, he could kill anyone
who slandered him.
Walker also threatened to kill the officer and the officer’s family.
After Walker was booked into jail, the officer went to the hospital to speak to
one of the man’s victims. The victim, who had a long wound across his face and
mouth, told the officer that he walked into the business and found Walker on top of
the store’s owner. When he tried to break up the fight, Walker slashed him in the
face with a knife.
Another man had an abrasion on his arm from a brief altercation with Walker.
Multiple witnesses told the officer Walker walked into the business and asked
for the “Jew” who ran the place. He then threatened to kill and skin all of the
employees.
Walker is being charged with maiming, two counts of assault and battery with a
dangerous weapon and two counts of threatening an act of violence. His bond
was set at $250,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on November 7,
2016.

Jailbirds.rocks is cooperating with the efforts of Oklahoma Department of Human Services to impact the
huge social problem of irresponsible parents who are not paying the child supports ordered by our courts.
If these biological-only parents won’t honor the courts order, perhaps public shame will get their attention.
If you know how to reach any of the Deadbeat Parents found on this page, please call the Oklahoma Department of Human Services
Child Support HotLine at 1-800-522-8014
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they
have a chance at a productive life. Children have the right to get
support from both parents and do not lose this right when a
parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children,
taxpayers often pay the cost of raising children. When children
receive public assistance and their parents pay no child support,
all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

A GOOD FALSE ALARM
A 30-year-old Tulsa man allegedly called 911 with
a false alarm on October 7 because he thought
people were attacking his father.
Jared Dale Parker’s dad said his son was just
seeing stuff.
According to the police report, Creek County
deputies responded to a residence in the 7200 block
of W. 61st Street near Sapulpa around 3 a.m.
Dispatch advised a frantic Parker called them and
said five people broke into his home and were
holding his dad and him captive. He told dispatch
that the suspects had stabbed and shot his father; he
was able to escape and call the police.
When officers arrived on scene, Parker told them that his dad was in the back
room of the residence. He cautioned them that his dad was “split wide open” from
being shot and stabbed. He told them the suspects used a shotgun.
Deputies entered the home, but there was no sign of intruders. In fact, they
found Parker’s father, whole and uncut, in a back bedroom.
A deputy informed the man why they were in his home. He told them that his
son had been seeing people in the house all night, but no one was in the
residence.
The deputy walked outside and told Parker that his dad was unharmed. Parker
asked if officers were able to catch the people who were inside the home with his
father.
The deputy then inquired if Parker had been using drugs.
Parker admitted to smoking meth two days prior and taking a Xanax earlier that
day. The deputy placed him under arrest and transported him to jail.
Parker is being charged with calling 911 with false alarm. His bond was set at
$1,000, and he was scheduled to appear in court on October 25, 2016.

Christopher Wallace may share a name with the Notorious B.I.G., but any
similarities end there. The 22-year-old was arrested in March while Snapchatting his whereabouts (he was currently hiding in a cupboard from police, who
were searching his home at the time). That was actually his second incriminating post to the platform – his first was kind enough to inform police that he
was at home in the first place.
John Mogan already made the poor decision of getting face and neck tattoos, which aren’t the most helpful accessories for bank robbers, but he also
posed for numerous photos with the loot from his alleged haul, along with his
girlfriend, Ashley Duboe. Needless to say, they were arrested shortly after his
pictures hit the web.
Renaud ‘Junior’ Plaisir broke into John Terrell’s New Hampshire home with
the intent of robbing it. At some point, he found the refrigerator, which held
some leftover chicken wings. He ate those, and then promptly fell asleep in
the guest bedroom, where he was discovered and detained by Terrell until the
police arrived.
Devin Gesell and two accomplices broke into a Missouri home in March
and took, among other things, a box containing what they thought was cocaine. Turns out, it was the homeowner’s father’s ashes. And even worse,
the woman, Debora Matthews, claims that two of the unnamed teens were
the deceased man’s grandchildren. That’s gonna make for an awkward family
reunion.
Frank E. Blake Jr. was already incarcerated in a Virginia jail when he was
visited by his second and third wives. Turns out, he was still married to his
second wife, whom he’d married before his divorce from his first wife was
finalized. These developments complicated things considerably: Blake was
charged with bigamy, which increased the length of his sentence by a year and
a half. Maybe he just really liked weddings?
Patrick Rempe, 24, drove his 2002 Toyota through the front door of Indian River County Jail’s Building C. That didn’t work, so he backed out and
then tried to go through the fence. That also didn’t work, so he tried to climb
the fence, where he got stuck on the razor wire. What was Rempe trying to
accomplish? He told police he wanted to visit friends who were currently incarcerated, a decision he’d reached after getting high on “flakka,” a synthetic
stimulant.
Reliford Cooper, III, fled from police one Wednesday evening in October,
leading them on a high-speed chase that involved running through a stop sign
and two ditches before crashing into a house. “I wasn’t driving that car,” he
told police when he was being handcuffed. “My dog was driving that car.” No
dog was found at the scene.
Police in Anchorage, Alaska, spent at least some of August searching for
a man in a “fairly realistic” bear costume who was caught harassing several
actual bears in the Chilkoot River. “This is not the first time we’ve encountered
a man in a bear suit,” Fish and Game spokeswoman Megan Peters told the
Associated Press, though the experience apparently did not help them make
an arrest.

BEARDEN BUSTED FOR BURGLARIES
Chandler man Lewis Anthony Bearden III, 18,
allegedly broke into several vehicles in the early
morning hours of September 28.
One of those vehicles belonged to an Oklahoma
City police officer.
According to the affidavit, the officer contacted
Davenport police at approximately 3:55 a.m. to report
the burglary at his residence in the 1000 block of
East Avenue. When he came home from work, he
noticed that the cab light in his truck was on. He
checked his vehicle and was unable to locate a set of
brass knuckles.
Officers found a man riding a bike nearby. He told them that his friend Bearden
had just showed him a pistol, change, and a pair of brass knuckles.
An officer located Bearden at a house on S. 3503 Road in Chandler. Bearden
pulled out the brass knuckles from his pocket, and admitted that the firearm was
in his room. Officers located a revolver pistol and bag of change from under the
man’s bed.
An officer transported Bearden to jail and asked about the burglaries. Bearden
said his two friends, including the man on the bike, were the actual suspects. He
took officers to two more locations where he said his friends broke into vehicles.
In a vehicle at the 100 block of Lake Avenue, the vehicle owner discovered she
was missing a revolver pistol from her car -- the same gun that was found under
Bearden’s bed.
At another location in the 100 block of E. 12th Street, a woman told officers
someone had stolen a bag of change from her truck.
Officers placed Bearden under arrest the next day. He admitted to lying about
the incident. He went for a walk by himself around 2 a.m. on September 28 and
checked several car doors to see if they were unlocked. That’s when he stole the
gun, brass knuckles, and change. He said he then went back home and showed
his friends his loot.
Bearden told the officer that his friends weren’t involved in the burglaries. He
only said they were because he thought they told on him.
Bearden is being charged with three counts of burglary in the second degree,
possession of firearm during commission of a felony, possession of firearm after
former felony conviction and knowingly concealing stolen property. His bond was
set at $5,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on November 3, 2016.

A toxicology report shows PCP was found in Terence Crutcher's system at the time
of his death. Do you think this will have an effect on the outcome of the case? Do you
agree or disagree with the ACLU's statement?
Note: We had a ton of response this question. If you would like to see all the responses, go to our Facebook page. Search Jailbirds.
__________________________________________________________________
Doug T: Regarding the officer's guilt or innocence, that is still yet to be determined. She will have her day in court. But regarding the narrative that a cop just shot
an innocent black man with a broke down car in the middle of the road, well that
narrative has been proven false!
Chafferty S: People on PCP are unaware, fearless and crazy strong. The characteristics of someone on PCP are easily recognizable. If she recognized that, she is
in the right in my opinion.
Charley E: Everyone actually following this case are not surprised. And no one
should be surprised if Shelby either gets her charges reduced or if she's acquitted.
Mark M: It's easy to be an arm chair critic after the fact. Years ago I had to deal
with a guy strung out on Coke. He was naked, covered in blood, and he was able to
pull a newel post out from a porch because of his high. Because there were more than
just myself there, he was subdued with batons. You weren't there, you don't know,
don't judge!
Baptiste D: He was unarmed and everyone else had tazers out except her she
shot and killed him in cold blood just be cuz he wouldn't listen smh still don't matter
what he was on he didn't pose a threat
James W: Here's a guy on his way home from college, a devoted family man.
A leader in his church, who broke down on the road, was gunned down by police
while his hands were up and unarmed....but since he tested positive for a drug. It's a
good kill.
Trey C: Mixed feelings is about the only way to describe how I feel about this
one. On one hand you have a felon who is acting irrational and non compliant. On the
other you have a man who o don't believe needed to be shot. I wasn't there so I can't
judge too harshly. But I understand her training as I have been through it. I'm almost
certain she didn't mean to shoot him, she only fired one round. Which is not what she
is trained to do, she was the only one that fired a shot. You could hear the stress in
her voice, cops are human and get scared too. Bottom line is this, she got scared and
had her booger hook on the bang switch. The shooting was most likely a involuntary
body response to stress. The studies are out there and have been done, when people
get scared the body takes over. The same as when someone scares you, you instantly
take in a quick breath. You can't stop that from happening the body takes over. Accidents have consequences and I fell that she will answer for it. A man lost his life and
a public servant lost her career. Bad deal all the way around.
Mariette W: Whatever happened to shooting someone in the leg? If your aim
isn't good enough you should not be carrying. Shooting in the leg may have killed him
also, given, but he would have stood a chance and she would no longer be in danger
(unless he was armed)
Willy E: The officers guilt or innocence is still going to be evaluated in court,
regardless of this toxicology report. So everyone, please don't go burn down the city.
Wendy L: So the fact that he was on drugs proves that...he was on drugs.
Doesn't prove that he did anything to deserve being shot dead. And why was it that
she shot him dead when the other officer used a taser?
David M: Acquittal....if those idiots think the law does apply to them they deserve to get shot when the safety for the officers is involved...
Sherrayle C: how long can PCP stay in one's system? Does it mean that he
was high that day or could you smoke PCP 2 days ago 3 days ago? These are questions that need to be answered.
Jesse S: Good now leave that officer alone. Follow the law and live.
Archangel of Snark: I don't think being on drugs should be a death penalty offense, no.
Jamie M: That explains his actions but a jury needs to determine her reaction.
Teauna W: Bottom line is if you do what your told he would have been still alive.
Victoria C: Had he not been high he wouldnt have been in the middle of the
road... and he would not have been shot... his actions lead to his death....
Phillip R: well of course they found pcp in his system. it was the narrative they
started with.
Tammy H: I don't care my cousin should still be here. I hope they throw the
book at her
James W: Haha. Wow. Apparently PCP makes you walk around with your
hands up, unarmed. So no, they shouldn't be allowed to shoot people because we
find out two weeks afterwards, he tested positive for narcotics....
Teena B: I pray his family had an independent autopsy performed.
Michael L: Honestly that's a very tough question to answer, because right now
I don't feel there really is a correct answer to this question.
Tara L: Not certain where this toxicology report is relevant. Didn't realize that
being high equated to receiving a death sentence.
Anthony S: PCP or not, him posing no threat does not warrant a shot from the
police woman.
Amanda C: She stated from the beginning she was trained to identify subjects
on it. Im not surprised at all.
Linda F: She can't give him back to his kids and wife if it was one of us we
would not get off
Velma R: He was black and got shot to death by a cop. The officer WILL get
off. End of story.
Jeff O: Rats azz..... where was the threat to this officer that she needed to use
deadly force??
Nancy M: Just curious as to how long it stays in a person's system? And what
level/amount of pcp was found. Am I to scientific
Amy P: She judge A book by its cover and our world needs more LOVE & GOD!
Tommy S: Just sad he lost his life and now they are trying to take away this
police officers life by sending her to prison
Joshua H: Well well innocent I'd say not
Christy W: I don't understand why when these situations happen the "suspect"can't be shot in the leg or some other non life threatening area of their body to
disarm them, so at least render them less of a threat. WHY IS IT ALLLLWAYS SHOOT
TO KILL!?!
Anne M: It shouldn't have any precedence in why this man was unjustly murdered...unfortunately, they'll allow it out of desperation to dismiss her improper actions…
Robert S: Tulsa pd cleaning out the trash
Parry H: Not surprised at all.
Jeanette C: It shouldn't have nothing to do with a cop shooting him!!!!!!!!!
Mike H: Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Whole spread of drug charges
along with a stent in the pen. Still doing and transporting drugs. I hope she sues for
character and quality of life damages after her case is dismissed.
Dawn H: Truth doesn't fit the narrative. Facts are obsolete!
Eric H: He "tested positive" to cover someone's ass.
WHAT’S YOUR OPINION ON THIS?

GOING DOWN FIGHTING
Stillwater woman Briana Alexandria Anderson, 19,
allegedly attacked officers and head-butted her
fiancé when they tried to calm her down during a
concert at Langston University on October 13.
According to the police report, Langston officers
were dispatched to a building on campus to help with
crowd control for a concert shortly after midnight.
When an officer arrived, he noticed one of his
comrades trying to restrain a woman just inside the
doorway.
The woman was later identified as Anderson.
Anderson seemed to be intoxicated, and she was
extremely combative toward officers. She kicked them, tried to bite one of them,
and yelled, “You white motherf------ wanna kill me!”
Anderson continued to fight and scream racial slurs toward officers. She
complained that she couldn’t breathe, but even after EMS arrived on scene, she
continued to kick and bite at officers. She managed to kick one officer in the ear
with her high-heeled boot. She also kicked another officer in the chest.
Anderson’s fiancé tried to assist the officers in calming down his lady, but she
wasn’t going to listen to anyone. She hit him several times, bit him and headbutted him in the nose.
The woman was transported to the hospital, where she continued to be
combative and fight against officers.
Hospital staff had to sedate the woman to get her to calm down.
Anderson is being charged with three counts of assault and battery upon a
police officer. Her bond was set at $3,000, and she is scheduled to appear in
court on November 17, 2016.

TIPS FROM A TROOPER REWIND
This month’s Tips is less of a tip
than it is a serious request for help
from you, the motoring public. I
would like to make a personal appeal
to each and every reader who sees
this to help us Troopers try to eliminate one of the toughest jobs that we
ever have to do. It is something that
everyone who drives can have an impact on.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is
tasked with the investigation of motor vehicle accidents on the public roadways outside the city limits in the State
of Oklahoma. In the course of this, we investigate a huge number of fatalities. For each fatality victim, it is the duty of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol
to personally notify the next of kin. For each life lost, there is a knock on a
door somewhere, where an OHP Trooper has to deliver news that will forever
change the lives of the person or persons on the other side. Sadly, these
knocks on the door could have been prevented by somebody involved in the
accident. Sometimes it’s the person who died whose unsafe or unlawful action caused the accident that took their life. Often times it is not.
Each and every Trooper you see working the roads every day has had to
knock on that door. I think if you asked, every single one would tell you this
is the worst aspect of our job. Trying to prevent this is one of the reasons
we do what we do. We know if we work hard, we can stop some of these
knocks. We also know the motoring public can help us stop some of these
knocks as well. The following are just a few ways for you to do your part to
help.
First and foremost, obey the law. It really doesn’t matter if your personal
opinion of the rules of the road don’t make sense, or shouldn’t apply in certain situations. Each one of them is designed for us to travel safely on the
road. Slow down, and give your full, undivided attention to the road. Watch
out for the other driver. When you see something happening ahead of you,
slow down! “I was late”, or “I was texting” just doesn’t cut it as responses to
a grieving family when they ask why this happened. Is it something you could
live with if it was your reason for taking a life?
The people on the other side of that knock aren’t the only ones affected by
the experience. We Troopers have all held strangers as the initial horror and
shock of the news takes hold of them. We have all prayed with families we
just met, and asked if we could have done more to prevent it. Each and every
day we are trying to stop The Knock. Now I’m asking you to help us. Thanks
for reading, buckle up, and be safe!
