Edmond man Daemon Rian Riley Wood, 26, was arrested in Shawnee for allegedly stealing his buddy’s car on April
19.
His friend had been trying to help him and everything!
According to the police report, a Shawnee officer was dispatched to the 100 block of E. 45th at approximately 8:47
p.m. to investigate a stolen vehicle report. On the way there,
he saw a silver car traveling east on MacArthur – the driver
seemed to be having trouble operating the vehicle.
When the officer arrived at the residence, he met with the
victim, who said Wood jacked his car. He told the officer
that Wood came to his house earlier that day. He was acting
a little weird, so the man tried to keep him at his house for a while. When Wood
started feeling better, he left the man’s residence.
The victim walked outside to leave a short time later and noticed that his car was
gone. When he described his vehicle, the officer recognized as the same car he saw
on MacArthur.
The officer found the stolen car parked at a liquor store. A man exited the store
and jumped into the car. He didn’t get away though – when he saw the patrol cars
around him, he went back inside the store.
Officers placed him under arrest. He was positively identified as Wood. The man
also had two warrants for his arrest out of Shawnee.
Wood is being charged with larceny of an automobile. His bond was set at
$7,500, and he is scheduled to appear in court on July 5, 2016.

Cannon
OSBI agents helped arrest a Tecumseh man May 18 after obscene
pictures of young girls were found at
a warehouse building he owns.
OSBI Special Agent Andrea Hamilton arrested Philip Jan Cannon, 75,
for possession of obscene writings,
pictures, etc of minors.
OSBI was requested to investigate allegations brought to the District Attorney’s Office earlier in the
week regarding images of young girls
found by a person hired to work on
the building. Agents and District 23 investigators served a
search warrant on Cannon’s shop located at 101 W. Main,
122 S. Broadway, and 124 S. Broadway – a compilation of
multiple structures and addresses.
During the search, agents collected evidence including dozens of printed color and black-and-white pictures showing
what appeared to be underage naked females. When agents
reviewed a thumb drive seized during the search, they found
at least a dozen pictures of naked or semi-naked females who
appeared underage. Many of the photos had the females posing in sexual positions with sexually explicit captions.
Cannon was booked into the Pottawatomie County jail.

26-year-old Johnathan Derik Strong, 26, was
locked up after he broke into a pharmacy on April
30 and stole some pills.
The Wetumka man told police he was trying to get
high.
According to the affidavit, Wetumka officers were
dispatched to the 100 block of North Main to investigate a business alarm going off. They found a
broken entry door to the hardware store and muddy
footprints that led down the main aisle.
Officers didn’t see anyone in the hardware store,
but they noticed a side door that led to the pharmacy that had been pried open. They walked into
the drug store and noticed that a lot of damage had
been done to the glass counters and the cash registers were open.
An officer noticed a noise above their heads – it sounded like someone was in
the attic. They started yelling at the person to come down.
The business owner arrived. He advised police that there was no attic – just a
false ceiling that couldn’t support a body. About that time, two ceiling tiles fell to
the ground.
An officer told the suspect to come down because there was nowhere for him to
go. The man said he was coming, he just didn’t want to hurt himself. He lowered
himself to the ground and officers placed him under arrest.
He was identified as Strong.
Police surveyed the damage in the building. The found different kinds of pills
scattered all over the floor of the pharmacy.
Strong advised an officer that he had swallowed several pills in an attempt to
get high. The officer asked how many pills he had taken, how much he had had
to drink, and how long he had been drinking. Strong replied, “Everything and all
day long.”
After the suspect was medically cleared for arrest, police took him to jail. During booking, they found $532, an unknown number of unidentified pills, an open
bottle of Meclizine Hydrochloride, a full bottle of Adderall, two packages of earbuds and an MP3 player on the man’s person.
Strong is being charged with burglary in the second degree. His bond was set at
$7,500, and he is scheduled to appear in court on May 24, 2016.

Recent Arrests For Okfuskee County
Dustin man Leroy Whitlow, 54, was
arrested by an Okfuskee County deputy for allegedly attacking his mom and
brother on April 21.
According to the affidavit, the deputy
was dispatched to the residence between Dustin and Graham due to a domestic in progress. When he arrived, a
man told him his brother, identified as
Whitlow, assaulted him after he tried
to stop the man from assaulting their
85-year-old mother. He said his niece
called him and told him Whitlow was
going crazy.
The victim sped over to his mom’s home and confronted Whitlow. Whitlow attacked him. He knocked the man to the ground and
started choking him.
After the fight, the man’s niece took Whitlow to his friend’s house.
The victim told the deputy he had just brought him mom home
from the hospital earlier that day.
When the deputy met with her, he noticed that she appeared very
frail and was on oxygen. He asked her if she was OK.
The woman said Whitlow grabbed her arm and twisted her wrist.
She also said that her son upset her by yelling and cussing at her,
and she believed he had been drinking.
A short time later, the woman who took Whitlow away from the
residence walked into the home. She told the deputy she was present when the incident occurred. She said when she first arrived at
the residence, she heard Whitlow yelling at his mother. When she
walked into the home, she could tell the woman was very scared.
She called the victim. As soon as he arrived, Whitlow became
even angrier, and the two men started fighting.
The deputy asked her where she took him. She said she dropped
him off at a liquor store in Henryetta.
Police located the suspect at a friend’s house in Okmulgee. The
deputy placed him under arrest and transported him to jail.
Whitlow is being charged with aggravated assault and battery,
and assault and battery. He was released on a $12,500 bond, and
he is scheduled to appear in court on June 9, 2016.

A Wewoka man frightened
a couple on May 4 when he
allegedly jumped on the back
of their truck and told them
to take him to see his woman.
When they refused,
50-year-old Michael Raymond Collier threatened to
cut their heads off with an
axe.
According to the affidavit, Seminole County deputies were dispatched to the
12500 block of NS 3670 in
Wewoka shortly after 6 a.m.
to investigate the incident.
They made contact with a man and his wife at the scene. The
woman told police her husband was driving down the road
when Collier jumped in the back of the truck bed and started
yelling.
The woman said Collier demanded that her husband take
him to the top of the hill so he could see his woman. The man
said no and told Collier there was no one at the top of the
hill. He then asked Collier what was wrong with him.
The man told the officer that he thought Collier might have
been on some dope or something. Collier wouldn’t stop, so
the man told him he needed to get out of the back of his
truck. Collier picked up an axe and asked the man, “Do you
want me to chop off your head?”
Thankfully, the deputies arrived on the scene just in time.
They placed Collier in handcuffs and transported him to jail.
Collier is being charged with assault with a dangerous
weapon. His bond was set at $10,000, and he is scheduled
to appear in court on June 2, 2016.

An L.A. gang member, Nazario Conchuza Gonzalez,
who is part of the infamous Ms-13 gang, also called Mara
Salvatrucha, has died of medical complications after attempting to gold plate his own genitals to celebrate his
21st birthday.
The young man that is originally from El Salvador and
is an active member of the MS-13 crime family is believed
to have attempted to gold plate his own genitals with a
professional automotive gold plater stolen from a local
garage after first painting his genitals with a lead-based
paint, believe experts.
The 21-year old man who was allegedly a fan of the 2002 American comedy movie Goldmember, which is a loose parody of the James Bond films Goldfinger, had
taken the Spanish nickname of “Pelotas de oro”, or golden testicles, before attempting to gold plate his own genitals to his ultimate demise.
Dr Ian Joseffson of the Los Angeles Community Hospital warns of a growing
trend within gang members to attempt the “deadly operation”.
“This is the third case this year, but we have had many occurrences in hospitals in
the region these past years. It seems to be a growing trend within the gang member
community” he told reporters.
“I have no idea where this idea comes from but plating one’s own genitals will
only ultimately end in serious medical complications or even death, as we have seen
in this case” he explained.
Some experts believe the tradition might find it’s roots in prehistoric Mesoamerican cultures, such as the Mayas who painted parts of their bodies with gold paint to
empower themselves and as an offering to the gods.

Ada man Mitchell Jay Brown, 41, was arrested after he
burst into a man’s home and demanded to know where his
parents were.
Brown said the man’s parents owed him money – the man
had no clue who Brown was.
On May 13, an Ada officer responded to a disturbance
at a residence in the 600 block of West Fifth Street at approximately 3:37 p.m. According to the affidavit, the victim
told the officer he was asleep on his bed listening to music
through his headphones when a man walked into his room.
The man identified himself as Brown, and he asked the
man where his parents were. He said they owed him $800.
The man told him he didn’t know. Brown then started hitting and elbowing the door, and cussed at the man in response.
The man was understandably scared, and he kept asking
Brown to let him leave. Brown refused. He leaned up against
the door, blocking the man’s exit. Brown told the man he
was “so pissed” he would have “killed someone.”
That scared the man even more, and he tried to make excuses so Brown would let him leave. He told Brown that he
couldn’t breathe. Brown walked outside with him.
While they were outside, Brown saw someone he knew.
He walked over to say hi and the man saw his chance to escaped from the residence.
The officer asked the frightened man if he had ever seen
Brown before. The man said no – the only reason he knew
what the suspect’s name was is because Brown told him his
name.
Brown is being charged with burglary in the first degree.
