ANOTHER CHICKEN IN
THE FLOCK
A dangerous, violent career criminal will be
spending the next six-and-a-half years in prison for beating and robbing an elderly woman in
Sapulpa almost two years ago.
Teddy Lee Martin, a 63-year-old Cherokee Nation citizen and resident of Claremore, was sentenced to 78 months in prison, followed by three
years of supervised release, for Robbery in Indian
Country and Assault with Intent to Commit a Felony in Indian Country. The sentence also includes a $6,000 restitution payment.
U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson emphasized that Martin posed a threat to the
community and that incarceration was the appropriate punishment. He highlighted the collaborative efforts of law enforcement and prosecutors in achieving
this outcome.
In August 2023, Creek County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home in
Sapulpa where an 85-year-old victim reported a masked man, later identified as
Martin, entering her residence with a handgun. The suspect demanded money
and threatened to kill the victim if she refused. Martin stole jewelry and physically
assaulted the victim before leaving the house.
Neighborhood video surveillance and FLOCK cameras captured Martin fleeing
the scene in a vehicle. Law enforcement shared this vehicle information with
Tulsa Police officers, who subsequently pulled over the vehicle and confirmed
that the occupants matched the description of the suspects seen escaping the
home.
During the vehicle search, law enforcement recovered some of the stolen jewelry, the mask, and the clothing worn by Martin in the video footage.
Investigators discovered that Morgan Turley was driving the vehicle away from
the victim’s home. In December, Turley pleaded guilty in State Court for conspiring to commit robbery with Martin and falsely impersonating an officer when she
provided incorrect information to law enforcement.
Martin will remain in custody pending transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.

AROUND THE STATE
Suspects caught in Owasso after the felonious incident at
a Tulsa Burger King
On March 6, around 6:30 p.m., Officers responded to
the Burger King near 81st and Garnett for a call about an
armed robbery.
The victim told us that he was selling clothes to the
suspect from a Facebook Marketplace post and met with
him at the Burger King to make the exchange.
The suspect, Billy Davis, arrived in a black BMW. Instead of paying the victim, Davis pulled out a handgun,
robbed the victim, then took off.
Around 10:20 p.m., a Lieutenant with the Tulsa Police Mingo Valley Street Crimes Unit
spotted the suspect vehicle on 169 NB heading north. With help from Patrol Officers, our K-9
Unit, and the Owasso Police Department, we stopped the car in Owasso at 76th St. North
and Highway 169.
The victim arrived at the scene and identified Billy Davis as the suspect and another teenager as the getaway driver from the robbery. Officers searched the vehicle and recovered the
clothing that was taken during the robbery.
Billy Davis was arrested for Robbery with a Firearm. The driver of the BMW is a juvenile
and a tribal member who falls under the McGirt ruling. He was released to his parents, and
the case will be sent to tribal authorities.
The other two individuals in the vehicle, also juveniles, were released.
Great collaboration from our Officers and
Owasso in making this arrest!
This is an arrest, not a conviction.
P.S. With the proliferation of online person-to-person sales, we strongly encourage
people to use our parking lots for the exchange.
Our safe spaces are also ideal for child custody
changes.

THE GRAND DELUSION
A Chelsea man was taken into custody late last
month after he ratted himself out thinking someone
was shooting at him at a Pryor motel.
According to Pryor Creek Police Chief Jeremy
Cantrell, on February 20, the Pryor Creek Police Department responded to a shots fired call at the Holiday Motel and RV park on S Mill Street. A man named
Gavin Shelton had called 911, claiming that someone
was shooting at him.
Upon arriving at the motel, the officers found Shelton in an upstairs room. He continued to assert that he
was being shot at, but the other tenants in the building reported that they hadn’t heard
or seen anything suspicious.
Shelton appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and was extremely paranoid
and delusional. He also had outstanding warrants for his arrest from Mayes County.
After confirming that there had been no shooting, the officers arrested Shelton. He
was then taken to the Mayes County Jail, where he was booked in on the outstanding
warrants. No new charges have been filed in Delaware County District Court against
him.

HEADING TO THE BACK 40
A Delaware County man was sentenced to 40
years in federal prison for sexually abusing three
children.
A 30-year-old man from Kansas, Oklahoma,
Sequoyah Jo Hinzo, was sentenced March 10 for
multiple counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a
minor under 12, aggravated abuse of a minor by
force and threat, and coercion and enticement of
a minor.
U.S. District Judge Gregory K. Frizzell imposed
a 480-month sentence, followed by a lifetime of supervised release. Upon his
release, Hinzo will be mandated to register as a sex offender.
According to court documents, Hinzo sexually abused three children, aged 6,
9, and 13, between 2020 and 2022. Furthermore, he created fake social media
accounts to lure a minor child into sending him sexually explicit photos.
Hinzo is a citizen of the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians and will
remain in custody until he is transferred to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.

Michigan man accused of fatally shooting his neighbor following argument over mulch
A Michigan man is accused of fatally shooting his neighbor
after getting into an argument with him on the street, officials
said.
Devereaux Christopher Johnson, 47, of Canton, was arraigned last year on first-degree murder in connection with the shooting, the Wayne
County Prosecutor’s Office said.
The victim -- 35-year-old father-of-two Nathan Morris, also of Canton -- was shot and
killed while on a walk Saturday morning, the prosecutor’s office said.
“It is alleged that the defendant initiated a verbal argument when he saw Mr. Morris
walking down the street,” the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.
“Defendant Johnson then produced and fired a handgun multiple times, fatally wounding
Mr. Morris who was unarmed at the time he was killed.”
The suspect allegedly started threatening Morris’ family after one of Morris’ daughters
touched the neighbor’s mulch, according to a statement from former RNC National Committeewoman Hima Kolanagireddy, a friend and colleague of the victim’s, shared on the
Michigan GOP X account. Morris stayed behind to try and “diffuse” the situation while his
family went home, her statement continued.
Canton police officers responding to a reported shooting shortly before noon on that
fateful day and found Morris lying in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds,
the prosecutor’s office said.
Morris was transported to a local hospital, where he died, police said.
Johnson barricaded himself inside his home following the shooting before ultimately
surrendering, according to police.
Johnson was additionally charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and two
counts of felony firearm, the prosecutor’s office said. The charge of first-degree murder
carries a sentence of life without parole if convicted, police said.

THAT'S METHED UP!
Law Enforcement Seizes
12 Pounds of Meth
Hempstead County, Arkansas – The 8th North Drug
Task Force, in collaboration
with the 8th South Drug Task
Force, 9th West Drug Task Force, and the Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI), has arrested Prince Thomas, 44, of Hope,
on charges of Methamphetamine trafficking following an extensive investigation. The operation resulted in the recovery of
approximately 12 pounds of methamphetamine.
On Wednesday March 5, 2025, law enforcement agencies
executed a search warrant at a residence in Hope, in a coordinated effort targeting suspected Methamphetamine distribution in Hempstead County. Investigators seized approximately 12 pounds of methamphetamine, valued at approximately
$40,000.00. Thomas was taken into custody without incident
and now faces Trafficking charges.
“The success of this operation is a direct result of the collaboration between local, state, and federal law enforcement
agencies,” said Gary Dorman, Director of the 8th North Drug
Task Force. “The distribution of methamphetamine continues
to be a serious threat to our communities, and we remain committed to holding traffickers accountable.”
The 8th North Drug Task Force is comprised of deputies and
officers from the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, the Hope Police Department, and
the Prescott Police Department. Their combined efforts, along
with assistance from the 8th South Drug Task Force, 9th West Drug Task Force, and the
FBI, were instrumental in the success of this investigation.
Thomas is currently being held at the Hempstead
County Detention Center
Also Arrested was David
Bentley age 60 of Nashville, Arkansas for Conspiracy to Commit Trafficking.
Both were taken to the
Hempstead County Detention Center to await a
first court appearance.

HOT MESS
A 45-year-old Commerce woman was locked
up after she allegedly downed some vodka and
became a mess on February 20.
According to reports, deputies were dispatched
to the 800 block of Commerce Avenue to investigate a disturbance. The caller said Chrystal Ann
Wooldridge was throwing things around inside the
apartment and trying to fight other people. Dispatch could hear the suspect telling the caller to stop.
When deputies arrived at the location, they heard a woman screaming obscenities.
They went into the apartment and saw Wooldridge sitting on a bed speaking
incoherently. A man told the deputies that Wooldridge had consumed half a
bottle of vodka earlier that evening. She then became violent and threw a phone
and end table across the room.
When the woman who called 911 told Wooldridge she needed to leave, Wooldridge opened the door and threw several items outside. She then grabbed a
pocketknife, but some men there took the knife away from her. She also tried to
grab the woman’s phone when she called 911.
Deputies told Wooldridge she was under arrest and to put her shoes on. She
hit an officer behind the head and started yelling racial slurs. She also threatened
the deputies and told the woman who called 911, “I’ll be back, your house is
going to burn down.”
Deputies took Wooldridge to the hospital due to how drunk she was. Wooldridge again started yelling racial slurs and told a doctor, “F— you, you’re a b—-
.” She also kicked an officer in the stomach.
The woman was transported to jail, where she hit a corrections officer in the
arm, face, and stomach. She was eventually locked up behind bars.
Wooldridge is being charged with three counts of battery/assault and battery
on a police officer after the former conviction of a felony, obstructing an officer,
disrupt/prevent/interrupt emergency telephone call, and threatening to perform
an act of violence. Her bond was set at $17,000, and she is scheduled to appear
in court on March 17, 2025.
