A Minnesota delivery driver was busted for auto theft because she wrote in her diary that she, “Totally stole a car
today!” according to police.
Vanessa Guerra, 30, of Mankato, penned the brain-dead
confessional on Aug. 12 — the same day a van was swiped
and resold for parts nearby, according to a criminal complaint
filed Nov. 22.
During the investigation, an officer allegedly found Guerra’s journal, which blabs about
the vehicle heist in a tone fit for a ladies’ brunch.
“Totally stole a car today! Something I never thought of doing,” Guerra allegedly wrote
in the entry, according to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office. “F-cking superfreaking out
about it.”
Guerra, who recently worked as a DoorDash driver, allegedly sold the 2004 Ford Freestar van for $2,000 at a scrap at a salvage business in Blue Earth county, according to
the Smoking Gun, which was first to report the bizarre bust.
Workers at the auto salvage business told cops they recognized Guerra as the person
who sold them the stolen ride, according to police.
When contacted by the investigator, Guerra denied knowing that the vehicle was stolen, according to according to Mankato The Free Press.
Guerra was charged with receiving stolen property and theft. She has reportedly been
convicted of driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance in the past.

DRUG DEALING FOR DUMMIES:
CHAPTER 4
In This Chapter You Will Learn:
Rule Number One: Don’t Do Drugs
Rule Number Two: See How Other People Messed Around & Found Out!!
Rule Number Three: Don’t Claim The Hat If You Hide Your Drugs In There!!
Rule Number Four: Don’t Be A Criminal
Rule Number Five: Wear Your Seatbelt!!
To truly understand how valuable these basic rules are, let’s follow along with what happened to
Anthony Commander, who could have easily avoided all of this by reading “Drug Dealing For Dummies”, but instead he can read it while in the comfort of his new accommodations in a Florida jail.
We’ve all heard the classic line, “these are not my pants”, but in this story, Commander had a bit
of a different approach!! While a deputy was out on patrol, he observed a vehicle sitting at a stop sign
and as he went by, he noticed the driver was not wearing his seatbelt!! The deputy turned around
and initiated a traffic stop due to the violation. As he spoke to Commander, the driver of the vehicle,
he said he knew he was going to get pulled over for not wearing his seatbelt!! (So much could have
been avoided had we followed Rule Number Five)
While the deputy was writing a warning to Commander, a K9 deputy and his partner arrived on
scene to take a little sniff of the vehicle. While we may have been rolling the dice with this one, it paid
off as the dog alerted to the odor of narcotics!! A search of the vehicle revealed two cut straws with
residue on them, which field tested positive for Fentanyl!!
Now this is where things get good, as deputies searched Commander to see what he had on his
person, when they removed his hat from his head, they found two baggies tucked inside the lining
containing drugs!! One of the bags contained approximately 1.5 grams of methamphetamine and
the other contained approximately 0.28 grams of Fentanyl!!
Commander told the deputies that the hat was his, but he has no idea how the drugs got in there,
he even said that maybe his friends tried to set him up by planting them there!! This is where Rule
Number Three comes into play, it probably would have been better to go with the whole “not my
hat story” than it was to say that it is your hat, but just not
your drugs!!
As a result, Commander hit the jackpot and won a free
ride to jail on a $5,500 bond for possession of methamphetamine, possession of
a controlled substance and
possession of drug paraphernalia!!
As a courtesy, in the future
I highly recommend keeping
up with the various chapters
of “Drug Dealing For Dummies” and especially follow
Rule One from today’s chapter, unless you want to make
a reservation for yourself at
the jail!!

THE LAW WON
A Pryor man with several outstanding warrants
was taken into custody after he tried to fight the
law- but the law won.
Feeling was booked into the Mayes County Jail
on complaints of possession of CDS, possession
of drug paraphernalia, bringing contraband into a
jail, and two outstanding warrants for violation of
a protective order.
According to Pryor Creek Police Chief Jeremy Cantrell, on December 28, officers made contact with Feeling on a pedestrian check and discovered he had
two outstanding warrants for his arrest through Cherokee Nation for violation of
a protective order.
As officers attempted to arrest Feeling he began to resist arrest, but was ultimately placed in handcuffs. During a search of his person, officers located meth,
mushrooms and drug paraphernalia on Feeling.
As Feeling was being transported to the jail he began hitting his head on the
officers window, in an attempt to bust it. Once inside the jail officers located
more contraband on Feeling.
Pryor officers were also able to recover a stolen vehicle that same week and
arrest another man on an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest through Cherokee Nation for First Degree Robbery.
“I’m proud of my Officers for being proactive,” said Cantrell. “Officers were
able to recover a stolen vehicle and get two wanted felons off our streets!”

A tech-challenged Florida woman accidentally texted a
cop instead of her drug dealer to buy fentanyl — unwittingly
narcing on herself, according to police who arrested her.
Octavia Wells, 41, had been headed to rehab on New
Years Eve when she texted a man she’d previously entered
in her phone as “PJ,” allegedly offering to pay $45 for the
opioid, according to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office.
The dimwitted druggie then arranged to meet the guy on the other line at a Tom Thumb
convenience store in Panama City, according to a police report obtained by the Smoking Gun.
But when she arrived at the store, narcotics cops were waiting there to arrest her, police said.
Wells soon learned she’d mistakenly contacted Stephen Pettijohn, an investigator with the Bay
County Sheriff’s Office known as “PJ,” with whom she’d had a “previous iteration,” according
to police.
She allegedly later told cops Pettijohn’s name was similar to her drug dealer’s, according to
the arrest affidavit.
Details of Wells’ previous interaction with the investigator were not described in the complaint
affidavit. She was charged with unlawful use of a communication device, possession of drug
paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.

CHASING CHICKENS
A 37-year-old man was put behind bars after he
had to be chased off a chicken farmer’s property
on Christmas Day.
Authorities later found cocaine and fentanyl in
his vehicle.
According to the police report, a Delaware
County deputy and Kansas police officer were
dispatched to investigate a trespassing near
Highway 412A and South 520 Road in Rose shortly after 8 p.m. When the officer arrived, the suspect, identified as Andrew Black Pastor, ran toward him and
refused commands, so the officer had to deploy his taser.
The resident on the property said he runs a chicken farm on the property. The
property owner told him someone was trespassing on the property. Pastor said
he worked there, but the man didn’t recognize him.
Pastor refused to leave the property, so the man had to chase him around the
property to get him to leave.
Pastor was jittery and kept saying he had been poisoned. He insisted on going
to the emergency room. On the way, Pastor thought he was in Arkansas, and he
said he was being poisoned, kidnapped, and abused.
The next day, the deputy executed a search warrant on Pastor’s truck that was
parked near the back of the property. He found a shotgun under the backseat,
a rifle on the rear bench seat, and another gun in the back passenger seat area.
He also found 306 rounds of 9mm ammunition, 308 rounds of .45 caliber ammunition, 201 rounds of .223 ammunition, and 10 12 GA shells.
On the back passenger seat, the deputy saw two micro scales with white residue, men’s steroid supplements, a pill bottle containing three different types of
pills, and a clear baggie with a white powder and pressed pills. There were also
10 Colorado license plates on the floorboard.
In the front seat area, the deputy saw a white powder substance and a rolled
up dollar bill with a white powder inside. He also saw more white powder on the
center console. The substances field tested positive for fentanyl and cocaine.
Pastor is being charged with trafficking in illegal drugs, possession of a firearm
after a former felony conviction, possession of a firearm during the commission
of a felony, public drunk or intoxication, and obstructing an officer.

THAT'S METHED UP!
A Kentucky man pulled a bag of drugs and a
wad of cash when police officers asked him for
his ID.
David Ratliff, 43, was passed out behind the
wheel of his car in the parking lot of a video store
on US Route 421 in Manchester — about 100 miles south of Lexington.
When police arrived at the scene and asked a drugged-out Ratliff for his ID, he
whipped out a “baggy of meth, pills, and a large sum of US currency,” according
to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
He was found with meth, fentanyl and over $3,000 in cash.
Police confirmed he had 9 grams of meth, several fentanyl pills and $3,034 in
cash.
He was arrested on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance and public
intoxication and taken to the Clay County Detention Center.

ALL TOO OFTEN
A 22-year-old Vinita man is facing federal charges
after he left a party last year drunk and killed a young
woman.
Kolton Austyn Gene McAnally. Was indicted in Dember 2024 on charges of Involuntary Manslaughter in
Indian Country and Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily
Injury in Indian Country (superseding).
McAnally, a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation,
is charged with operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol and killing Madison Barnes
in Feb. 2024. He is also charged with assault for causing serious bodily injury to another
victim.
According to reports, McAnally allegedly drank alcohol and smoked pot at a house party
and got intoxicated. He decided to leave the party in a Dodge Charger with two passengers, 23-year-old and Madison Beisley-Barnes and another person. McAnally began driving away, but his two passengers got out and went back to the house. McAnally then put
the car in reverse and hit Beisley-Barnes and the other person. Beisley-Barnes was pinned
under the car and later died from her injuries. The other person suffered a broken arm.
The FBI, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation
are the investigative agencies.

MISTAKEN IDENTITY
A man who had felony warrants was arrested
after a police officer caught him with a stolen vehicle on December 22.
According to the affidavit, a Wyandotte police
officer was dispatched to investigate a suspicious
vehicle near the river on Highway 60. The officer
checked the tag and was advised that the vehicle
was reported stolen out of Delaware County.
The officer saw a man exit the vehicle. He made contact with the man, who
would later be identified as 29-year-old Anthony William Merrill. Merrill told the officer he didn’t have an ID, and he gave the officer his brother’s name as his own.
After confirming the vehicle was stolen, the officer placed Merrill in handcuffs.
The officer searched the vehicle and found a handgun that was between the
driver’s seat and center console.
Merrill told the officer that he didn’t know the vehicle was stolen and he continued to give the officer a false name. He said he had driven the vehicle from Grove
to Fairland and then to Wyandotte.
A man who was in the passenger seat of the stolen vehicle told the officer
Merrill’s true identity. Merrill admitted he was lying about his name because he
had warrants for his arrest. The officer confirmed that Merrill had a felony warrant
for a stolen vehicle out of Delaware County.
Merrill is being charged with knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property,
falsely personate another to create a liability, and possession of a firearm during
the commission of a felony. His bond was set at $15,000, and he is scheduled
to appear in court on January 24, 2025. SCOTT
