A 21-year-old Inola man was arrested on a felony charge for allegedly masturbating in a Quik Trip
parking lot.
What a great way to start the new year, amirite?
According to reports, officers were dispatched
to the convenience store on Lynn Riggs Blvd. to
investigate reports of public indecency. The reporting party said a man, later identified as Travis William Gideon, was sitting in his black Honda
Civic at a gas pump, masturbating.
The RP, who was at a pump near the suspect
with his wife and 3-year-old, said he yelled at
Gideon, and the man drove away. He was able to
get a picture of Gideon’s vehicle and license plate
before the man left the scene.
Gideon is being charged with indecent exposure. His bond was set at
$2,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on March 2.

Being able to tell the difference between healthy, unhealthy and abusive
relationships can be more difficult than you would think. No two relationships
are the same, so what’s unhealthy in one relationship may be abusive in another. Although there are many signs to pay attention to in a relationship, look

Two charged in death of teen
Two suspects, 30-year-old Andrew John
Hall and Cheyenne Blalock, 17, were charged
with first-degree murder on January 3 in the
January 1 death of a 17-year-old girl.
Reports state Hall allegedly talked to
Blalock about killing the victim, because the
victim had given him an STD, and he wanted
payback.
On New Year’s Day, the two apparently exacted their revenge.
While Blalock hid under a blanket in the
trunk, Hall allegedly drove the victim to the
Spring Creek Recreation Area south of Locust Grove. Hall told investigators that he
thought Blalock was just going to physically
assault the victim since she was just armed
with knives.
Hall also said he was scared Blalock was going to get violent if he didn’t do
what she said.
While the three were at the recreation area, either Hall or Blalock – it’s not
clear since both suspects implicated the other in the crime – grabbed a rifle
from Hall’s trunk and shot the victim.
Hall then hid the rifle under his bed at his Chouteau residence.
Blalock told police she heard two shots fired, but she didn’t see Hall shoot
the victim. She said she touched the victim’s arm to make sure that she was
dead.
According to reports, Blalock also told investigators that Hall poured some
bleach on the victim’s body before putting her in the water.
Hall told police that Blalock is the one who put the victim in the water.
Both Hall and Blalock are being charged with murder in the first degree.
Hall’s bond was set at $1M, and he is scheduled to appear in court on
March 5, 2020.
Blalock’s court date and bond information were unavailable at time of print.

THE TOWN OF SOUTH COFFEYVILLE WOULD LIKE TO KEEP YOU OUT OF JAIL!
If you have a warrant with the Town of South Coffeyville, Okla., and would like to get rid of
that warrant once and for all, you can contact the Court Clerk at 1-918-255-6045, option 1.
When a warrant is issued, the amount is sent to a collection agency. At that time, the collection agency will have an additional fee of 25% of the amount of the warrant added onto the
amount due. The town is offering two options at this time. If you would like a pay order, you
will need to pay 35% down of the amount due and sign a pay order. After 35% is paid and
a pay order is signed, the warrant will be recalled and the collection agency will be paid. If
you want to pay the warrant and collection fee, a discount on the warrant will be given for a
total that is over $500. No discounts will be given for pay orders. This will not apply to new
arrests. (Partial list, more to come)

18 | FEBRUARY 2020 DELAWARE COUNTY Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty
An alleged burglar in California whose luck ran out when he got stuck inside a
home’s chimney has been arrested.
Officers from the Ridgecrest Police Department were initially dispatched to a home
after reports of a triggered burglary alarm.
A few minutes later, police got another call — this time from a woman who claimed
that her friend was trapped in a chimney at the same address.
When officers arrived, they discovered Keith Schultz, 28, wedged in the chimney.
They also found signs of forced entry and an open back door, leading them to conclude that Shultz’s accomplices broke into the home with him, and then fled the scene
when they were unable to free him.
Schultz, who was covered in soot in his mug shot, was eventually rescued from the
chimney by firefighters. He was taken to Bakersfield jail and charged with burglary.
Police have arrested two men and seized guns and marijuana after a video emerged
of them appearing in a “mannequin challenge” styled as a shoot-out. The video (which
is very well-done, incidentally) has been shared over 86,000 times is since it was posted to Facebook on November 9, 2016, and quickly become a social-media sensation,
racking up over 173,000 YouTube views.
An official from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office told reporters that after viewing
the video, investigators served a search warrant. They reportedly found two handguns, a shotgun, a rifle, and marijuana that appeared to be packaged for sale at the
residence.
Police have charged Terry Martez Brown, 23, with drug-paraphernalia possession,
loitering, and promoting prison contraband. Kenneth Fennell White, 49, faces charges
of first-degree marijuana possession and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
28-year-old Ricardo Cardona spent 20 minutes bashing down the door of Hudson Meats in south Austin. When he finally got into the place, he grabbed a couple
of packages of sausages from the cooler and took them back outside. The security
camera captured him walking back in and into the 40°F meat cooler for a moment
before heading to the office area, where he found a warm coat to put on and settled in
to sleeping off the alcohol he’d consumed before his arrival at someone’s desk. When
workers arrived the next morning, they called police. Cardona woke up to the police
officers charging him with criminal trespass.
Florida man Derrick Walden was busted after a six-hour standoff with police. Walden
got into a heated argument with a woman, who called police at around 9:15 P.M. after
the fight began to get seriously heated. Walden then barricaded himself and his victim inside the apartment and threatened to shoot police if they tried to enter the building. Negotiators worked for hours, and at around 3 A.M. the next morning Walden
finally let the woman go. He then fell asleep, enabling officers to arrest Walden, and he
was charged with misdemeanor battery, felony battery, domestic violence (strangulation), probation violation, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
When a police officer in Kootenai County, Idaho, conducted a security check of
Stoddard Park, he was surprised to see a Jeep Cherokee sitting parked next to a vehicle belonging to the Street Department of Hayden City. He was also surprised to see a
funnel sticking out of the fuel tank of the Jeep, as well as a siphoning hose in the Street
Department vehicle and a gas can between the two vehicles. Inside the Jeep, a woman was out cold in the front seat with drug paraphernalia sitting on the Jeep’s center
console. When the officer woke the woman up, he realized that she was also sitting
on a small bag of meth. Backup deputies busted Alyssa Wolf, 22, for possession and
drug charges and 25-year-old Scott Miller for siphoning the gas and burglary charges.

fly by night
The District 13 Drug and Violent Crime Task Force
conducted an investigation into a woman identified
as Mitsy Jones from the Monkey Island area of Delaware County. She was later arrested in Kansas.
On January 15th, a felony warrant was issued for
Jones’ arrest with complaints of Aggravated Drug
Trafficking, Maintaining a Dwelling for use and sale
of CDS, Possession of CDS Without a Tax Stamp,
Unlawful Use of Communication Facility, and Possession of a Firearm After Former Felony Conviction.
On January 16th, Agents with the 13th District
Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and investigators
with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office attempted
to serve Jones’ felony warrant at her residence. After monitoring jail phone
calls which Jones used to communicate with an inmate, it was evident that
Jones had fled the area upon discovering her felony warrant.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office was asked to initiate a Fugitive Investigation to locate Jones. DCSO Investigators who are assigned to the
United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force later tracked Jones to an apartment complex in Goodland, Kansas. The Goodland Kansas Police Department was contacted and requested to assist us in taking Jones into custody.
At approximately 4:40 p.m., Jones was contacted by Goodland Police and
taken into custody without incident.
Jones remains incarcerated in the Sherman County, Kansas Jail awaiting
extradition for her warrants here. She will remain in custody on a $500,000
bond.
The agencies involved in the case include the District 13 Drug and Violent
Crime Task Force, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, The United States Marshal’s Service, and Goodland, Kansas Police Department.
Sheriff Harlan Moore commented “This was a combined effort by all agencies involved to make a huge impact on the drug trade in our community and
should serve as a lesson to other drug dealers that these actions have no
business here and it will not be tolerated.”

Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty 23 | FEBRUARY 2020 CRAIG COUNTY
A Boswell police officer was taken into custody
on an embezzlement complaint after he allegedly
pawned several of his department-issued firearms.
Shawn Karr, 33, was charged January 6, 2020,
with one count of felony embezzlement in Choctaw County District Court.
According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, OSBI agents arrested Karr, who was at
the time a Boswell Police Officer, after allegations
arouse that he pawned his departmental-issued
firearms. The investigation began on December
13, 2019, when the Choctaw County Sheriff requested OSBI investigative assistance after receiving information that Karr pawned four of his department firearms.
The investigation resulted in Karr’s arrest at Boswell City Hall. He was
taken to the Choctaw County Jail and his bond was set at $10,000.
