TULSA, Okla. – On July 10, 2021, Tulsa PD responded to a kidnapping incident at Waterstone Apartments.
According to witnesses, a woman, identified as Jordan Canfield, was seen coercing a 5-year-old boy at the apartment community swimming pool. The woman allegedly coerced the boy to leave the area with her by calling him over, taking ahold of his hand, and walking away from the site.
The father reportedly drove around the community in search of his son. The father was able to locate Canfield with his child three blocks away from Waterstone Apartments. Witnesses assisted in directing officers to Canfield’s whereabouts.

Tulsa police say the father began yelling at Canfield, who was seen holding the victim’s hand. Once the father yelled his son’s name, the boy was able to break free from the woman and run to his father.
Once the 5-year-old boy left the kidnapper, Canfield fled the scene. Officers were able to locate the suspect blocks away at Savannah Landing Apartments. Canfield was taken into custody immediately.
According to the father, he did not know Canfield and did not recognize her.
Canfield was arrested for Kidnapping/Child Stealing, Obstructing Justice, and Marijuana Possession. She was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a $50,000.00 bond. (Image courtesy of Tulsa County Jail)
