Cheetos residue on teeth leads to woman’s arrest

TULSA, Okla. – A Tulsa woman is behind bars for attempted burglary after Cheetos residue linked her to the crime – hey, sometimes burglars get hungry, too!

According to reports, Tulsa police officers were dispatched to a home near 51st and Sheridan on February 26 to investigate a burglary.

They were advised that a person was trying to force his or her way into the window of the house.

The victim was alone with her two children.

When officers arrived at the scene, they saw an open window with the screen removed in front of the house.

A few seconds later, they saw Sharon Carr – officers placed her under arrest.

During the investigation, officers determined that Carr allegedly pried the screen off of the window. She then used a board to open the window.

Fortunately, she left the residence before stealing anything or hurting the victim or her kids. She apparently became spooked when she heard that there were people inside the home.

Officers found a water bottle and an empty Cheetos bag near the open window.

The victim positively identified Carr as the woman who broke into the home.

As if that wasn’t enough evidence, Carr also had some Cheetos residue on her teeth that linked her to the crime.

Officers arrested Carr on complaint of first-degree burglary.
