Handcuffed suspect lands in muddy water after high-speed chase on stolen ATV

Logan County, Okla. – An unnamed suspect who was accused of stealing copper wire led police on a high-speed chase while driving a stolen ATV, all while being handcuffed (NBCDFW). 

This incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon throughout Northeast Oklahoma in the city of Edmond and Logan County. 

According to KFOR, authorities in the Jones area had placed the suspect in custody and handcuffed him prior to his ATV escape.

The owner of the stolen ATV had attempted to chase the suspect before losing him. The suspect was also being followed by another pursuant and an Oklahoma’s News 4 helicopter (KFOR).

The ATV reached approximately 70 miles per hour before landing laterally in muddy water. This messy landing happened after a police officer used their vehicle to block a majority of the dirt road (KFOR). The suspect was completely drenched from the puddle.
