MAN THREATENS WITH KNIFE IN ROAD RAGE INCIDENT

TULSA, Okla. — Around 7:55 p.m. on June 6th, Tulsa Police Officers responded to a Disturbance with a Weapon/Road Rage call at 49th and Memorial.

The caller reported that he was at a stop light on 21st St when a gray truck pulled up behind him and began honking the horn. The truck, driven by Vincent Rea-Smith, followed the victim for another mile. At the next red light, Rea-Smith got out holding a hunting knife and threatened to kill the victim while kicking and punching his car.

The victim was able to get away after the light turned green, but Rea-Smith repeated the same action two miles down the road at another stoplight. Rea-Smith continued to harass the victim, following him to a fast-food restaurant parking lot and threatening him with the knife before eventually leaving.

A separate witness followed the suspect and the victim capturing several videos of the incident. The victim reportedly told Officers that he didn’t recognize or know the suspect.

With the suspect’s tag number, Officers were able to find Rea-Smith and take him into custody in south Tulsa using the FLOCK Safety System and police helicopter.

Rea-Smith was arrested for Threatening a Violent Act and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
