Over 100 Texas lawmakers threatened online by Oklahoma man

PAYNE COUNTY, Okla.– The new abortion bill in Texas has brought over one hundred threats online to Texas Lawmakers by one Stillwater man.

Austin Lund, 20, is accused of posting threats on Reddit targeting Texas legislators who supported the new abortion bill, which bans abortions after six weeks into a pregnancy (News 9).

Court documents reveal that Lund allegedly posted, “I am filled with rage at the Texas abortion law passing. You are not people to me and if I get the chance I plan to play out my sickest fantasies with your bodies, I fully intend to!”

Another threat that was posted reads “I would just like to state that– a list of 83 members of the Texas House of Representatives and 18 members of the Texas State Senate– I am preparing to end each one of you! I won’t say when and maybe I don’t get you all, but I intend to see your lifeless corpses, ragdoll about before my time on this earth ends.”

Lund was arrested in an apartment on the Oklahoma State University campus by the FBI and OSU police officers. Lund was located using the IP address on his computer (KFOR).

Lund is not enrolled or employed by OSU.

According to authorities, Lund claims that he was not going to carry out his threats.

Lund’s bond was set at $25,000, and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 4 (OSCN).
