Her momma might have named her Angel Dawn
Bevill, but if the 40-year-old Purcell woman’s behavior
on June 1 was any indication, she doesn’t live up to her
name.
According to the police report, a Purcell officer went
to the hospital in the 1500 block of N. Green at approximately 11:40 a.m. to assist with an arrestee needing medical attention.
That arrestee was Bevill.
The officer was advised from officers on the previous
shift that she was assaulted police officers and was still
being “verbally combative.”
Bevill was handcuffed to the hospital bed for her safety, but that didn’t stop the
woman from accosting hospital staff. She made threats and kicked a nurse. She
repeatedly kicked the nurse and even said, “f--- her,” when the officer told her to
stop.
When the officer asked Bevill if she wanted to make a statement about the assault, she told him, “F--- you pig. I hope you die.”
The officer told her she was going to be charged with assault and battery, but
she didn’t seem to care. She just told him, “I know people and you are going to be
killed.”
She also threatened to kill the officer who transported her to jail. She told him
things such as, “When I get out of here, you guys are gonna get yours,” and “When
I get out of this, if I see you on the street, I am going to blow your f------ head off.”
Bevill is being charged with assault and battery and threaten to perform and
act of violence. She was released on a $7,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in
court on July 8, 2015.

Two years ago, 77-year-old Charles Nieman and
his wife stopped at the Loaf-‘n-Jug convenience store
in Boise City to get gas. Nieman was outside his vehicle when a Hispanic male walked up to him and demanded his wallet. Nieman, who was hard of hearing,
turned to his wife and asked her what the man said.
Moments later, the suspect shot Nieman in the head.
The suspect ran from the area. Nieman was rushed
to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him
dead. The Boise City Police Department requested
OSBI assistance with the case. Numerous leads were
run by agents and local law enforcement, but the suspect has not been identified. Today, on the second year anniversary of this case, the OSBI
is offering up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the man
who killed Mr. Nieman. Nieman would have celebrated his 55 wedding anniversary later this
month with his wife Lois. He is also survived by three children and six grandchildren. If you

A Leon man was arrested after an undercover operation when he sold meth to an undercover cop. The seller
just happened to be the son of the Love County Sheriff.
George Russell, 37, of Leon, was charged June 1 with
one felony count of distribution of CDS (meth), on felony count of possession of CDS (meth), and unlawful
possession of drug paraphernalia, in Carter County District Court.
According to reports, on May 29, Russell sold the
undercover cop an “8-ball” of meth in a store parking
lot on Lodge Road in Carter County. He was arrested
immediately afterward. Police also found more meth in
Russell’s car, digital scales, and the cash the undercover
cop paid him for the “dope.”
The sting was conducted by the Carter County Sheriff’s Department and Ardmore Police Department.
Russell was released on a $3500 bond and ordered back to court July 16 for his preliminary
conference.

A Madill man just couldn’t leave well enough alone… After a police officer
spoke to him about threatening his neighbor, he then threatened his neighbor’s parents!
He may have gotten off with a warning on the first offense, but he was arrested when he just couldn’t shut up.
According to the police report, a Madill officer was dispatched to the 400
block of East Harris Street shortly after noon on June 7. The victim told the
officer he was sitting in his truck in front of his house when 45-year-old Phillip Ray Tiller pulled up in his truck, got out of his vehicle, and walked up to
the edge of the victim’s driveway. The man said Tiller started yelling at him
and called him names; he also raised up his fist like he was going to hit him.
The victim said he “wasn’t going to back down,” so he told Tiller to get back in his truck and leave.
The officer later spoke to Tiller. Tiller told the officer almost the exact same story, but he denied raising
his fist at the victim.
The officer told Tiller to stay off the victim’s property.
After speaking with Tiller, the officer went to the police department and called the victim. The victim
said he wanted to press charges against Tiller because after the officer left, Tiller yelled across the street at
him and told him his parents were next.
Tiller is being charged with threaten to perform act of violence. He was later released on a $2,500 bond.

Norman, and Hobart woman Nashell
Deshay Hunter, 19, reportedly fired a
BB gun at a group of people in Norman
because they were bored.
Hope they won’t be too bored in jail!
On June 13, a Norman police officer was dispatched to the 100 block
of Vicksburg Avenue at approximately
8:45 p.m. because there were people
shooting a gun from a moving vehicle.
According to the police report, a victim told the officer she was hit in
the head by a pellet.
The officer located the vehicle and made contact with the driver,
identified as Hunter, and the passenger, identified as Reed.
Hunter told the officer they were “just firing the BB gun from the
car because [they] were bored.”
Reed said she and Hunter were bored, so they decided to shoot at a
group of people on Beaumont.
Reed said she shot at the people first. She didn’t know anyone in
the group.
One of the people in the group flipped them off, so Reed said they
turned back around and she handed the gun to Hunter, who fired at
them again.
The officer placed the women under arrest.
Police searched the girls’ car prior to it being impounded. They
found a lighter, a marijuana pipe, white paper with a green leafy residue and an open bottle of Smirnoff Ice.
Reed is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous
weapon and transporting open bottle or container of liquor. She was
released on a $2,000 bond.
Hunter is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous
weapon and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a $1,000 bond.
They are both scheduled to appear in court on June 30, 2015.
