Chickasha man admits to cooking victim’s heart, serving to family with potatoes

CHICKASHA, Okla. – A triple murder suspect allegedly told police that he cut out the heart of one of his victims, and cooked it and served it to his relatives.

He then attacked his family members as well.

According to reports, 42-year-old Lawrence Paul Anderson admitted to breaking into a woman’s home on February 9. He said he broke down her backdoor.

Anderson told police that he fatally stabbed the 41-year-old woman and cut out her heart.

He then took her heart across the street to his aunt and uncle’s house in the 200 block of West Minnesota.

After cooking the heart with some potatoes, Lawrence tried to force his aunt and uncle to eat it to “release the demons.”

At some point, Lawrence attacked the couple, killing his uncle and severely injuring his aunt. He also allegedly murdered the couple’s 4-year-old granddaughter.

Police confiscated cooking items that Anderson allegedly used to cook the woman’s heart, including a pan that still had some food inside of it.

This isn’t Anderson’s first time in jail. The man is a repeat offender who was just released from prison in January.

He was serving a 20-year prison sentence for drugs and other related crimes.

Governor Kevin Stitt commuted the sentence to just nine years – Anderson was released after serving three years.

Anderson is being charged with three counts of murder in the first degree with deliberate intent, assault, and battery with a deadly weapon and maiming. He is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 14, 2021.
