OKLAHOMA CITY – A 40-year-old Oklahoma City man was arrested late February 18 after he allegedly assaulted a man who later died from his injuries.
According to reports, Oklahoma City police were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 200 block of SE 44th around 10:30 p.m. to do a welfare check.
When they arrived on the scene, they found an adult man lying in the courtyard of the complex – the man was critically injured.
He was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
While investigating the incident, police learned that the victim had been involved in an altercation with Gary Vincent Jordan.
At some point during the argument, Jordan assaulted the man, resulting in the victim being fatally injured.
Jordan was interviewed by police and placed under arrest. He was then booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a complaint of murder in the first degree.
